Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about SunVine vinegar concentrate and our 70% Isopropyl Alcohol first-aid antiseptic.
What is SunVine? +
SunVine is a 30% super-concentrated vinegar cleaner up to 6X more powerful than standard 5% vinegar. Unlike grocery-store vinegar, SunVine's high-strength formula lets you dilute it to the exact strength you need, from light everyday cleaning to heavy-duty degreasing and odor removal. One bottle replaces a cabinet full of specialty cleaners.
What scents does SunVine come in? +
SunVine comes in three vinegar varieties, all with the same 30% concentrate and 6X cleaning power:
- Orange Blossom — a bright, uplifting citrus scent
- Lavender — a calming, soothing aroma
- Original (Unscented) — the raw 30% concentrate with no added scent
What makes SunVine different from regular vinegar? +
Standard vinegar is only 5% strength and carries a sharp, lingering smell. SunVine is a 30% concentrate — 6X the strength — so you use less per job, and it's naturally scented with essential oils (Orange Blossom or Lavender) instead of leaving that classic vinegar smell behind. The Original variety keeps the same 6X strength with no added scent.
Does it really not smell like vinegar? +
The Orange Blossom and Lavender varieties are formulated with essential oils specifically to mask the sharp vinegar smell, leaving a naturally fresh scent instead. The Original variety is unscented and will have more of a vinegar smell, since no fragrance is added.
What's in the vinegar formula? +
Each vinegar bottle is 30% Acetic Acid (CH₃COOH) and 70% Water (H₂O), phosphate-free, with fragrance from essential oils (Orange Blossom and Lavender varieties). Made in the USA.
How do I dilute it? +
Dilution depends on the job — a gentle everyday mix for light cleaning, up to a 1:3 ratio for tougher jobs. A common starting ratio is 1 oz of SunVine to 64 oz of water for an everyday, all-purpose solution. Use less water (a stronger mix) for heavy-duty degreasing or odor elimination.
How do I use it once it's diluted? +
Dilute the concentrate with water per the dilution guide, spray onto the surface, and wipe to a streak-free, fresh-smelling finish.
What can I clean with it? +
SunVine vinegar is an all-purpose, whole-home cleaner for:
- Windows & glass
- Countertops & kitchen surfaces
- Bathrooms, tubs & sinks
- Toilets & tile
- Floors & hard surfaces
- Mirrors
- Appliances
- Laundry pretreatment & odor elimination
- General everyday grime
Are there any surfaces I should avoid? +
Yes — avoid using SunVine vinegar on natural stone, hardwood, and rubber, as the acidity can damage these surfaces over time. (The Lavender variety label also notes avoiding use on egg spills, since vinegar can react with egg proteins.) When in doubt, spot-test on an inconspicuous area first.
Is SunVine phosphate-free and eco-friendly? +
Yes. The vinegar formulas contain no phosphates and no harsh chemicals or pollutants, making them a natural, eco-friendly alternative to conventional cleaners — safe for use both indoors and outdoors.
Does SunVine vinegar disinfect or sanitize? +
SunVine's vinegar formulas are cleaners. The product information provided doesn't list EPA disinfectant registration or specific kill-claims for the vinegar line, so it should be treated as a cleaner rather than a registered disinfectant unless your label states otherwise.
What safety precautions should I take with the concentrate? +
- Keep out of reach of children
- Wear gloves and eye protection when handling the concentrate
- Do not mix with bleach or other chemicals
- See the product label for complete safety precautions
External use only. SunVine™ 70% Isopropyl Alcohol, USP is a topical first-aid antiseptic — a separate product from the vinegar cleaner line. It is highly flammable. Read all warnings below before use.
What is SunVine 70% Isopropyl Alcohol used for? +
It's a topical, first-aid antiseptic used to help prevent infection in minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. It's a separate product from the vinegar cleaner line, formulated specifically for skin antisepsis rather than household cleaning.
How do I use it on a minor cut or scrape? +
- Clean the area — gently clean the minor cut, scrape, or burn of any debris first.
- Apply a small amount of alcohol directly to the area.
- Repeat as needed — 1 to 3 times daily, to help prevent infection.
- Bandage (optional) — let the alcohol dry completely before covering with a sterile bandage.
Do I need to let it dry before bandaging? +
Yes — always let the alcohol dry completely before applying a bandage.
Is there anything to watch for when opening the bottle? +
Yes — don't point the bottle toward yourself or others when opening, since the product may squirt when squeezed.

No. Don't apply over large areas of the body, and don't use it for longer than one week without consulting a doctor.
Can it be swallowed or used internally? +
No — this product is for external, topical use only. Serious gastric disturbances will result if taken internally.
Is SunVine Isopropyl Alcohol flammable? +
Yes, it's highly flammable. Keep it strictly away from fire, flame, heat, sparks, and electrical sources, and never use it as a fuel source — vapors can ignite if exposed to heat, causing severe burns or serious injury.
